A Bug's Life is a 1998 American 3D computer-animated comedy adventure film produced by Pixar Animation Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Pictures. It was the 2nd feature film to be made by Pixar, after Toy Story. It was released on DVD and VHS on April 20th, 1999. The movie is notable for being one of the first movies to be digitally transferred to home video as opposed to the typical analog transfer that was generally used with VHS releases, with every frame of animation being directly transferred onto the disc from its original computer data.
